Medicare open enrollment is here. Make sure you're in the know by watching our Making Sense of Medicare video.

Medicare open enrollment is here and if you’re turning 65, this could be a pretty important time for you.

To help with any decisions you need to make, we’ve created a “Making Sense of Medicare” training video. To access this video, click the link Resources & Training/Educational Videos, and it will be listed towards the bottom, titled "Making Sense of Medicare".

Here are a few things you need to know if you’re choosing Medicare coverage:

  1. You’ll want to review your current Kairos coverage before making any changes. Remember, though, becoming eligible for Medicare is a valid qualifying life event (that is, it’s an event that qualifies you to make a change to your Kairos coverage mid-year).
  2. Fall open enrollment for Medicare occurs each year beginning October 15 and running through December 7. Any changes made during this period will take effect January 1.
  3. Apart from the “Making Sense” video referenced above and the resources provided by Kairos, help is also available to you through
  4. The best way to enroll in a new plan is to call 1-800-MEDICARE.

Finally, an important notice regarding your prescription drug coverage and Medicare has been mailed to you. There is nothing you need to do with this notice, other than keep it for your records.

If you have specific questions about Medicare, please reach out to our Medicare expert, Deanna Lujan, who is licensed and certified to offer Medicare plans. You can find her at (602) 343-6236. Or, you can always reach out to Kairos at the number below.
